NL2022-23 BMW GEARBOX MOUNTS AND SHIFTER BUSH
The BMW brand means a lot to us here at Powerflex. Their preference for longitudinal engines and rear-wheel drive architecture has resulted in a long line of brilliant driver’s cars considered by many as the “Ultimate Driving Machine”
This week, we are adding two new parts to our BMW range, specifically to improve the driving experience of BMW’s RWD manual transmission-equipped models such as the E36/E46/E9* to name but a few.
PFF5-4655 Transmission Mounting Bush is designed with street and track in mind to replace the tear-prone soft rubber mounts, a common cause of knocking, mis-shifting and over-revving.
Made using CNC machined Aluminium Caps with captive securing bolts and a Yellow 70A Durometer polyurethane body, they increase stiffness over OE by 150%, whilst minimising NVH transmission.
Aside from our Road Series offering, they are available in our stiffer Purple 80A material for track use (260% stiffer) and Black Series 95A material for motorsport (375% stiffer) for those wanting to further reduce drivetrain movement. The harder the material used, the less deflection they offer and the higher the NVH transmission.
They are also the perfect accompaniment to our PFF5-4650 Tuneable Engine Mount on E36/E46/E9* models.
PFF5-4632 Shifter Arm Rear Bush replaces the soft OE rubber bush that sits at the end of the gear shifter arm on manual vehicles, a part often overlooked when upgrading transmission components.
Made in our Yellow 70A durometer material and supplied with a plated steel casing, this new part is designed to eliminate slack in the gear shift and restore precision when changing gear, reinvigorating older cars and restoring the connection between the driver and their driving machine.
This part is also available in our Black Series 95A material for Track/Motorsport use.
The above parts fit a huge variety of BMW models from 1990 to the present day, including the Rolls Royce Phantom RR1 and Toyota Supra A90so please check our website for a full fitment listing.

NL2022-20 BMW OFFSET LOWER RADIATOR MOUNT KIT
Despite the first sold being 24yrs old, the BMW E46 3-Series is still hugely popular and the platform for some of our most popular selling parts even to this day, so we’re always on the lookout for additions.
A recent enquiry and something brought to our attention is larger core performance radiators and subsequently how they are mounted, which has led to this week’s release – PFF5-4652 Offset Lower Radiator Mount Kit
The thicker core of these radiators (and therefore end tanks) relocate the end tank-mounted coolant reservoir/expansion tank further backwards in the car, causing it to sit closer (and in some instances touching) to the rotating power steering pump pulley.
Made in our Red 65A durometer material, the offset bushes move the bottom of the radiator forward by 8mm to add needed clearance for the expansion tank/pulley and to prevent it from touching and causing a potentially catastrophic engine failure, especially if the engine mounts are worn.
They can also be fitted without draining down the coolant system and removing the radiator, making them an easy swap out.
As well as fitting the E46 inc M3 with larger core radiators, this kit will also fit standard vehicles with standard radiators (although no extra clearance is required) and a variety of other models from the BMW stable, including E28, E30, E31, E32, E34, E36, E36 Compact, E83 ×3, Z1, E36 Z3 & E85/E86 Z4 inc Z4M.

NL2022-19 BMW N54, N55, S55, N20, B58 ENGINE MOUNT INSERTS
BMW doesn’t just build engines, they build award-winning engines and their range of single and twin-turbocharged petrol in-line 6 cylinder engines, including the N54, N55, S55 and later B58 are ranked amongst the best.
Used in vehicles from 2006 to the present day including in heavier hitting models such as the F2x M135i / M140i, M235i / M240i and F8x M2 / M3 and M4, tuners and track-day enthusiasts alike are wringing every last HP out of them, and the often stratospheric torque figures result in excessive engine movement.
The OE voided rubber mounts are known to allow excessive movement when pushed, so much so that BMW Motorsport offer their own aluminium inserts for motorsport applications to stiffen the mounts.
They’re not cheap, however, (around £300 for the set of two) and being made from aluminium they transmit a great deal more NVH, something those with tuned daily’s that see occasional track use are keen to avoid.
Taking the above points on board, we are pleased to introduce PFF5-4020 and PFF5-4021 Engine Mount Insert Kits, intermediate alternatives to the BMW aluminium inserts and much stiffer full replacement engine mounts available on the aftermarket.
Made in our Yellow 70A durometer material, they are designed to fit the voiding of the OE mounts snuggly to restrict engine movement with a minimal increase in NVH, perfect for those with tuned road cars.
Their design and flexibility also mean they can be fitted to the vehicle without removing the engine mounts themselves.
Reducing engine/transmission movement by way of upgraded inserts has the following benefits:
- Sharper throttle response
- Improved gear shifting
- More direct power transfer
- More balanced on/off throttle handling
- Prolonged life of the OE mounts
A small increase in NVH, usually at idle, should be expected when stiffening the connecting mount between the engine and chassis. The harder the material used, the greater the NVH transmitted.
For those who want no compromise, and ultimate performance for the track or motorsport, these inserts are also available in our Black Series 95A Durometer material.

NL2022-18 AUDI RS3 8V AND TTRS 8S ENGINE/TRANS MOUNT INSERTS
Audi’s latest MQB platform has spawned a monster in the RS3 8V and its coupe cousin, the TTRS 8S.
With 360-400bhp as standard, its 2.5L 5-Cyl engine and 4WD drivetrain propel it to warp speed at an incredible pace.
For some, that’s simply not enough and the performance tuning market is awash with upgrades and packages that can take it beyond 500bhp with relative ease.
More power means more stress on the standard components, however, and one area in particular that suffers is the rubber engine/trans mounts.
In response to that, this week, we’re pleased to be releasing the following parts.
PFF3-1321 Lower Torque Mount Small Bush is supplied with an outer shell and made using our stiffest Black 95A durometer material, increasing stiffness over the OE rubber bush by 40%.
PFF3-1322 Upper Gearbox Mount Insert and PFF3-1323 Upper Engine Mount Insert are both made in our Yellow 70A material and are designed to fill the voiding present in the original rubber mounts.
Reducing engine/transmission movement by way of upgraded inserts has the following benefits:
- Sharper throttle response
- Reduced wheel-hop
- Improved Traction
- More balanced on/off throttle handling
- Prolonged life of the OE mounts
A small increase in NVH, usually at idle, should be expected when stiffening the connecting mount between the engine/transmission and chassis. The harder the material used, the greater the NVH transmitted.
For those who want no compromise, and ultimate performance for the track or motorsport, these inserts are also available in our Black Series 95A durometer material.

NL2022-16 VW T5 / T6 REAR LOWER SPRING ISOLATOR
The VW T5 and T6 have been great additions to VW’s Transporter series, with a wide range of uses from commercial to leisure, proving incredibly popular with each generation.
This popularity has meant vast communities of T5/T6 owners and specialists have created a demand for upgrades to make their vehicles not only drive better but look fantastic whilst doing so.
One of the most common modifications carried out is to fit larger wheels and lower the ride height to create a more stanced look.
Unfortunately, a by-product of this is an increase in the stresses experienced by the suspension components including the OE spring isolators. Being made from rubber, they can perish and over-compress with age, especially when being used commercially or with weighty camper conversions which can lead to excessive vibration, knocking and an uneven ride height.
This week we are pleased to announce our solution to this problem with our new PFR85-1330 Rear Lower Spring Isolator.
These new products are made from our stiffest Black 95A durometer polyurethane, ensuring that the isolator outlasts the original rubber equivalent without over-compressing and is designed to work with the OE spring as well as accept larger aftermarket springs, making them a must for your shopping list when renewing your suspension.

NL2022-15 CITROËN DS / MASERATI MERAK ENGINE MOUNTING BUSH
Whether it’s for restoration or general repairing needs, replacement OE rubber suspension components are expensive and increasingly hard to come by; in particular the engine mounts for Classic Citroëns and the Maserati Merak.
Made from natural rubber, the original mounts are susceptible to ageing and premature breakdown from oil and other contaminants, causing persishing and softening of the rubber which leads to:
Excessive engine movement
Vague throttle response
Imprecise gear shifting
This week we are proud to provide you with a durability-biased solution to revive the feel and OE freshness of your Classic Citroën, including Citroën ID, Citroën SM & Maserati Merak.
PFF12-1220 Engine Mount Bush is a direct replacement for your worn/damaged engine mounts but uses our signature Classic Grey 70A Durometer Polyurethane formula to restore the function of the original mount, without transmitting additional NVH whilst outlasting the original rubber.
This week’s release is available exclusively in our Heritage Grey material, which provides the same road-biased performance as our Road Series, without compromising on your vehicle’s classic aesthetic.

NL2022-11 HONDA CIVIC FK8 TYPE R ANTI-LIFT KIT AND TORQUE MOUNT INSERT
The FK8 Honda Civic Type R is a truly great car, some would argue the finest hot hatchback on the market, and despite often being pitched against more powerful and costly opposition, it consistently punches above its weight.
So, how does one improve on that I hear you say…well, fast front-heavy FWD vehicles all suffer the same problem – understeer due to front-end weight transfer and lift during acceleration.
Manufacturers reduce this with limited-slip diffs but excessive deflection in worn rubber suspension bushes, specifically the front wishbone bushes as they age, can worsen this and promote unwanted reactions such as imprecise steering, braking instability and reduced traction including wheel-hop, problems that will no doubt take the sharp edge off what is usually a razor-sharp track weapon.
This week we are pleased to introduce a series of products to help restore and maintain that precision.
PFF25-1102G Front Wishbone Rear Bush Anti-Lift Kit combines a two-piece dual durometer (Purple 80A/Black 95A) bush with an in-house CNC-machined bracket providing anti-lift, +0.5 deg of caster adjustment and a mighty 300% increase in stiffness over OE.
PFF25-1101 Front Wishbone Front Bush uses our classic ‘top-hat’ design in our Black 95A material and rotates around a stainless-steel sleeve for a 34% increase in stiffness.
Combined, both parts offer the following benefits.
In-corner camber gain
Improved traction
Sharper steering turn-in
Greater steering feedback
Improved braking stability
PFF25-1120 Lower Torque Mount Insert is made using our Purple 80A material and uses our effective prong design to fill the voiding of the OE bush, limiting movement and increasing stiffness by 29%.
Reducing engine/trans movement by way of upgraded inserts has the following benefits.
Sharper throttle response
More accurate gear changes
Reduced wheel-hop
More balanced on/off throttle handling
For those who want no compromise, ultimate performance for the track or motorsport, all parts are also available in our stiffest 95A durometer Black Series material.

NL2022-10 PORSCHE BOXSTER & CAYMAN 981/987 FRONT ENGINE MOUNT BUSH & INSERT
With impeccably balanced handling, the Porsche981 & 987.2 Boxster/Cayman inc R are bags of fun to drive, with them rated as being one of the most rewarding sports cars money can buy.
However, according to specialists and those in the know, suspension problems are the second most common reason for a 981/987.2 to fail its MOT and the same fatigue seen in the rubber suspension bushes, can be seen in the engine mountings.
Prolonged and repetitive strain translated through the engine mounting in combination with the large voiding in the OE bush, results in accelerated ageing of the rubber, with bush failures often seen from around 50,000 miles onwards.
Common symptoms of aged/failed engine mount bushes are;
Excessive engine movement
Vague handling and responsiveness
Wheel hop from a hard standing start
Imprecise gear shifting
Problems like this will no doubt leave owners yearning for the smooth and precise ride that the 981/987.2 was once known for, and at over £300 for a genuine Porsche mounting bracket with bush, this week we’re pleased to announce our very own fit-and-forget direct replacement for the OE rubber bush for a fraction of the cost;
PFR57-820 Front Engine Mount Bush is made from our Yellow 70A durometer material and supplied with an anodised outer shell and supporting washers, providing a 20% increase in stiffness over the standard rubber, suiting all 981/987.2 models from 2009 onwards.
As an alternative to the full bush, we are also offering a more cost-effective and simple to fit solution for those bushes that aren’t quite ready to be replaced.
PFR57-821 Front Engine Mount Insert is also made in our Yellow 70A material and uses our effective prong design to fill the crucial areas of voiding on the OE bush, limiting movement and increasing stiffness by 15%.
This option is ideal for a quick and affordable upgrade, making it perfect for tuning on a budget!
Reducing engine/trans movement by way of upgraded inserts has the following benefits:
Sharper throttle response

NL2022-09 MINI R56 UPPER ENGINE MOUNT INSERT
As we enter our 11th year of supporting the Mini Challenge, our affinity to the Mini brand is clear whether it be for new or old models, and this week sees us add the final piece to our range required to restrict engine/trans movement on your Mini R56, for a next-level driving experience.
Complimenting products such as PFF5-220 and PFF5-225, our new PFF5-224 Upper Engine Mount Insert is designed to fill the void in the OE rubber upper engine mount to restrict movement.
The original rubber engine mount softens and perishes with age, losing its ability to dampen effectively and promoting unwanted engine movement. By fitting our new insert, it acts as a buffer by restricting movement within the bush thus improving throttle response, sharpening gear changes, and reducing wheel hop for improved traction.
Available in 3 material variants, you can choose the insert that best suits your driving and vehicle requirements.
PFF5-224 Upper Engine Mount Insert (Petrol/Tuned Diesel) is made from our Yellow 70A durometer material, providing an excellent balance of strength and compliance for improved performance, whilst limiting NVH transmission into the cabin. This part is recommended for Petrol models and high-torque tuned Diesel models.
PFF5-224R Upper Engine Mount Insert (Diesel) is made from our softest Red 65A material, specifically designed to minimise NVH transmission. Recommended for unmodified Diesel models or for drivers who want a subtle improvement in driving feel without compromising comfort.
PFF5-224BLK Upper Engine Mount Insert (Track) is made from our stiffest 95A Black Series material, providing a no-compromise performance option for track-focused builds.
A small increase in NVH, usually at idle, should be expected when stiffening the connecting mount between the engine/transmission and chassis. The harder the material used, the greater the NVH transmitted.
Alongside the Mini R56, PFF5-224 fits the R55 Countryman, R57 Cabriolet, R58 Coupe, R59 Roadster, R60 Countryman & R61 Paceman models.

NL2022-08 BMW F8X M2 / M3 / M4 DUAL MOUNT REAR DIFFERENTIAL BRACKET
Born on the track, but equally, at home on the road, cars wearing the famous ‘M’ badge are synonymous with a fully engaged, high-octane driving experience, and with BMW referring to them as the Ultimate Driving Machine, it’s hard for one to argue such acclaim.
With the newer F8x M2/M3/M4‘s making big power and having superb chassis straight from the showroom, it’s no wonder they’re often found at the most serious of track-days or at tuning shops across the globe.
Unfortunately, the power that makes these cars so fun to drive eventually has an impact on the vehicle components, most notably the rear differential bushes.
Despite having the provision for two mounting bushes on the factory tubular subframe, BMW opts to use only a single offset bush to mount the diff bracket to the subframe. This essentially creates a pivot point for the diff under torque loading, especially if the 4x front diff bushes are worn and softened.
With hard launch starts and sudden and frequent on-off throttle changes, this puts the single rear OE rubber bush through extreme torsional and directional forces, resulting in accelerated ageing with failure often seen at around the 30-40,000 mile mark and an unsettled and potentially clunky rear-end.
This week, we are proud to release a high-performance solution to this problem, giving you the tools to re-establish rear-end stability on your F8x M2/M3/M4.
PFR5-4030 Dual Mount Diff Bracket is made from our in-house CNC machined 6082 High-Tensile Aluminium and is designed to utilise the secondary mounting position on the OE subframe. With the addition of a second bush, this prevents the diff from twisting under load, providing benefits such as:
Reduced drivetrain movement
Improved throttle response
A more controlled and consistent on-off throttle chassis response.
Improved tyre-to-road power transfer reducing wheel hop
Reduced strain on fitted bushes
The corrosion-resistant Satin Black Anodised Aluminium Bracket is optimised for high stress and deflection whilst withstanding high torque loads but is designed to function equally on standard or modified vehicles with either a single OE bush or dual aftermarket bushes.
Although the bracket can be fitted without the need to remove the subframe from the vehicle completely, we would naturally recommend combining Powerflex products by using our already hugely popular 80A durometer PFR5-4026 Rear Diff Mounting Bush for both subframe rear mounting positions with the addition of our PFR5-4025 Rear Diff Front Mounting Bushes for the front for the ultimate in differential control and a lasting fast-road or track solution.

NL2022-06 MK6 VW POLO GTI AND AUDI A1 ENGINE/TRANS MOUNT INSERTS
The focus for this weeks release is VAG’s supermini MQB A0 platform, which boasts several hot models, namely the Audi A1 Sport and VW Polo GTi.
The combination of comfort, a sporty feel and 200PS on tap makes them a strong contender against other similarly priced hot hatchbacks.
Often with vehicles in this section of the market, tuning is commonplace with re-maps offering a near 50% increase in power and torque.
But what about those poor OE engine/trans mounts?? Increased torque associated with remapping can often put added strain on the voided rubber components, resulting in excessive wear and engine movement.
This week we are releasing a set of our Yellow 70A durometer engine/trans mount inserts, designed as a cost-effective and easy to fit solution to revive your powertrain mounting.
PFF85-1821 Upper Engine Mount Insert
PFF85-1822 Lower Engine Mount Insert
PFF85-1823 Gearbox Mount Insert
Reducing engine/trans movement by way of upgraded inserts has the following benefits:
Sharper throttle response
More accurate gear changes
Reduced wheel-hop
Improved Traction
More balanced on/off throttle handling
For those who want no compromise, ultimate performance for the track or motorsport, these inserts are also available in our Black Series 95A durometer material.
Additionally, for 3 cylinder & diesel engines, we have our Red 65A option, a material optimised for the additional NVH that is associated with 3 cylinder & diesel engines.
A small increase in NVH, usually at idle, should be expected when stiffening the connecting mount between the engine/transmission and chassis. The harder the material used, the greater the NVH transmitted.

NL2022-03 BMW E7* & F1* X5/X6 FRONT UPPER WISHBONE BUSHES
The BMW X5 revolutionised the SUV market when it was first released, boasting luxury and practicality with a reassuring sporty feel.
However, with age and high mileage, the OEM rubber suspension bushes degrade and eventually fail, often being the cause for knocking, creaking and accelerated tyre wear. Not surprising for a vehicle weighing in at around 2500kgs!
This week we are pleased to announce the release of PFF5-1405 Front Upper Wishbone Bush, designed to revive your BMW E70/F15 X5 & E71/F16 X6 and accompany our other range of products for these vehicles.
Made using our stiffest Black 95A Durometer Polyurethane with in-house CNC-machined metal components, this new bush provides a durable and reliable alternative to the OEM rubber bushes and a more cost-effective solution to replacing the entire arm.
Our bushes have been designed to be 30% stiffer than the standard rubber, for a more responsive and assured handling feel and unlike rubber, will not soften with age providing a truly fit-and-forget solution.

NL2022-02 FORD TRANSIT DROP LINK BUSHES
The Ford Transit and Transit Custom have become synonymous with practicality, comfort & no-nonsense performance. It has become a staple LGV on roads globally, with almost 1 million Transits being on the UK roads alone.
Despite the Transit being a dependable vehicle, a common area of failure can be found at the rear drop link bushes, where prematurely worn OEM bushes are notoriously responsible for MOT failure.
Worn drop link bushes cause unpredictable and unstable handling, along with sending knocks and clunks throughout the body and into the cabin.
This week we are proud to present to you a cost-effective and simple to fit solution to this common issue, giving you a long-lasting solution for your Transit.
PFR19-9015 Rear Drop Link Bush is made from our signature 95A Black Polyurethane formula and is designed to match the performance of the OEM bushes but without the drop in stiffness that is typically found with rubber, for improved reliability and lasting performance.
Not only do these new parts maintain stiffness over time, but are also around 15% stiffer than OEM, which results in a tighter, more responsive ride.

SUBARU BRZ / TOYOTA GT86 / SCION FRS STEERING RACK MOUNTING BUSH
The cross-platform Toyota GT86 / Subaru BRZ / Scion FRS has been around for a while now, nearly 10 years in fact, and with depreciation setting in, there are some real bargains to be had.
And why wouldn’t you, the simple recipe of front engine and rear-wheel drive, makes driving either a very enjoyable analogue experience with pinpoint handling and a lightweight feel.
At the heart of their agility is of course the car’s suspension, but factors such as age and fun induced strain, result in the OEM suspension bushes deteriorating, negatively affecting the performance and handling of the vehicle.
Now, we’ve already got most suspension bushes covered with a very comprehensive kit covering the GT86, BRZ & FRS but there was one we missed…
PFF69-309 Steering Rack Mounting Bush
Made using our stiffest Black 95A Durometer material in combination with our in-house CNC machined stainless steel sleeve, this new bush is a direct replacement for the OEM rubber bush, helping to restore steering feel and precision by keeping the steering rack firmly in place.

RENAULT CLIO IV GEARBOX MOUNTING BUSH INSERT
This week sees us complete our range for the hot RenaultSport Clio MK4 RS and its slightly milder siblings.
Having already introduced products for the suspension and other drivetrain mounts, we now complete the line-up with our new Gearbox Mount Insert.
Aged, perished and softening rubber leads to excessive movement within this mount causing unwanted and excessive engine/trans roll during acceleration and gear changes.
PFF60-1421 Gearbox Mounting Bush Insert is a two-part kit that acts to stiffen the upper and lower voiding of the OE mount, helping to restore a level of responsiveness expected from a hot hatch.
Made using our Yellow 70A and Black 95A durometer materials, it provides the perfect balance between compliance and stiffness, giving control and precision without compromising comfort.
For those looking for a track/motorsport focused alternative, PFF60-1421BLK Gearbox Mounting Bush Insert uses our Black Series 95A material to restrict the movement of the mount even further.
For total drivetrain control, this new insert is the perfect accompaniment to PFF60-1420 Upper Engine Mount Insert and PFF60-1422 Lower Torque Mount.
A small increase in NVH, usually at idle should be expected when stiffening the mounting between the engine/transmission and chassis. The harder the material used, the greater the NVH transmitted.
Due to the popularity of our Handling Packs and resulting demand, we are also happy to announce the release of our PF60K-1005 Handling Pack for the Renault Clio IV, providing the perfect combination of value versus performance with a price saving over buying the parts individually. The kit includes,
PFF60-501 Front Arm Front Bush
PFF60-902 Front Arm Rear Bush
PFR60-810 Rear Beam Mounting Bush
PFF60-1420 Upper Engine Mount Insert
PFF60-1421 Gearbox Mounting Bush Insert

RENAULT TWINGO II RS WISHBONE BUSHES & LOWER ENGINE MOUNT INSERT
Despite being the baby of the Renault family, the Twingo II RS is still very much deserving of the Renault Sport badge, offering a revvy 4-pot engine and peachy chassis, for a considerably low price tag.
Buying a pocket-rocket, for pocket money is bound to come with its gripes, however, one being worn suspension, with bush degradation and failure a common issue.
Beyond failure, the mechanical properties of the OEM rubber bushes mean that a drop in stiffness occurs as the rubber degrades over time. Age-softened rubber will result in a vague and unresponsive feel, not good for a car that relies so heavily on its handling.
This week we are pleased to release new parts for the Twingo II RS, designed to boost performance and reliability, both on and off the track.
PFF60-1001 Front Wishbone Bush uses our in-house CNC machined metal outer shell for better load distribution with a Black 95A durometer bush, resulting in a 25% increase in stiffness over OE for improved steering and braking response.
PFF60-1001G Front Wishbone Bush Camber Adjustable uses the same design principle as the non-adjustable version above, but with a precision-machined stainless steel sleeve that provides a range of +/- 0.75 degrees of on-car camber adjustment, perfect for track and motorsport applications.
PFF60-1020 Lower Engine Mount Insert is an affordable and easy to fit upgrade for the soft voided rubber mount, improving wheel hop, gear changes and throttle response.

28th October 2021
This week we bring you news of two new engine/trans mount inserts for the tuneable Mini F56 Cooper S/JCW and associated UKL1 and UKL2 platform Mini and BMW vehicles.
With older vehicles approaching 7yrs old and simple upgrades seeing the 2-ltr turbo engine push power north of 250bhp, the OE rubber engine and transmission mounts are showing their age, with cracked rubber and excessive movement.
Designed to fit within the voiding of the original mount, these new inserts prolong the life of the OE mount by stiffening and limiting movement of the rubber. This results in a more settled transmission response during acceleration and deceleration, improving gear changes and reducing wheel-hop.
PFF5-1321 Upper Engine Mount Insert are a simple, but effective rod design made from our Yellow 70A material. They fill the key voided areas of the mount to restrict engine roll, providing the perfect balance of compliance and rigidity, making them ideally suited for your daily driven vehicle.
PFF5-1322 Gearbox Mounting Bush Insert is made using the same Yellow 70A durometer material and has been designed to fill the verticle voids in the OE mount for an effective and affordable solution to stiffening the original rubber.
For those who want no compromise, ultimate performance for the track or motorsport, the powertrain mount inserts are also available in our Black Series 95A Durometer material.

MINI R56/R57/R58/R59 LOWER TORQUE MOUNT
This week sees us release a new lower torque mount for the ever-popular Mini R56, replacing the softer rubber voided OE mount that is prone to cracking, allowing for excessive engine movement and wheel hop.
Combining a CNC machined aluminium lower torque mount with various durometer bush options to suit differing states of tune, it’s a great way of reducing engine movement for more balanced on/off throttle handling while improving gear shifting precision. It’s also super easy to replace – just two bolts and it’s out with the old, in with the new and no pressing out of any rubber!
The options are,
PFF5-220 Lower Torque Mount Bracket & Bush (Yellow 70A and Purple 80A) is 300% stiffer than the worn OE mount and recommended for fast road use for standard or mildly tuned cars.
PFF5-220P Lower Torque Mount Bracket & Bush (Purple 80A) is 400% stiffer than OE and recommended for higher powered cars used on the road/track.
PFF5-220BLK Lower Torque Mount Bracket & Bush (Black 95A) is a huge 500% stiffer than OE and available in our Black Series for hard Track and Motorsport use.

GOLF SYNCHRO ADJUSTABLE TRAILING ARM BUSHES
When Volkswagen combined the capable and hugely popular Golf Mk2 platform with its advanced viscous coupling all-wheel-drive system, the ‘Syncro‘ was born, with the pinnacle of MK2 model madness being the rally “homologation special” Rallye.
With its G60 supercharged engine, manual transmission, and Syncro four-wheel-drive, this box-flared monster has gone on to become a significant part of Volkswagen’s motorsport history.
To support the new rear differential and driveshafts, the AWD Golfs are equipped with an independent rear-trailing arm suspension setup, that certainly benefits from our new product this week.
PFR85-262G Toe-Adjust Rear Trailing Arm Bush features an adjustable stainless steel sleeve – machined on our brand new Star Micronics CNC lathe – which allows for +/- 1° of on-car toe and camber adjustment.
This new part is made using our Black 95A material with thinner wall thickness to allow for a larger range of adjustable offset whilst retaining stiffness and reliability.
These parts also fit the Golf Mk3 4WD Syncro (1993 – 1997) and Passat B3/B4 Syncro 4WD (1988 – 1996).
Don’t forget, all of our parts come with Powerflex's unrivalled Lifetime Warranty for added peace of mind.
22nd April
Honda‘s hot S2000, Civic, and Integra Type-R range dominated the affordable performance car market back in the early Noughties.
Along with our extensive range of suspension bushes for these cars, we noticed an unusually shaped exhaust mount that is crying out for the Powerflex touch.
EXH040 Universal Exhaust Mounting Bush has been designed to fit the large 3-pin exhaust mounting found on some Hondas and has universal fitment for a range of custom applications too.
These bushes are made using our Red 65A durometer material, which is approx. 15% harder than a rubber mount ensuring position, height, and movement control.
As well as the S2000, Mk7 EP Civic and Mk4 DC5 Integra, this part will fit Mk7 Accord Tourer, Stream and HR-V Models too.
7th January
We are excited to start the New Year with release a new part to complement our already popular PFF60-1422 Lower Torque Mount, for the RenaultSport Clio IV.
PFF60-1420 Upper Engine Mount Insert
The original oil-filled engine mount softens and perishes with age, losing its ability to dampen effectively and promoting unwanted engine movement.
By fitting our new insert into the voiding of the OE rubber bush, it acts as a buffer by restricting movement within the bush thus improving throttle response, sharpening gear changes, and reducing wheel hop.
This part is available in our Yellow 70A Road Series material for standard road or fast road use, and our hardest 95A Black Series material for those looking for a Track / Competition option.
A small increase in NVH, usually at idle should be expected when stiffening the mounting between the engine/transmission and chassis. The harder the material used, the greater the NVH transmitted.
Of course, all parts benefit from our worry-free, Lifetime Warranty for added peace of mind and assurance of quality.
10th December 2020
This week we bring you news of updates to existing parts within our range.
Our philosophy to continually evolve as a business extends to our products, and with advances in materials used, improved engineering and manufacturing techniques, and better R&D and testing methods, from time to time we feel it’s right to re-visit some of our older parts.
This has recently been applied to the following Ford parts;
PFF19-601 Front Wishbone Bush 46mm
PFF19-602 Front Wishbone Bush 54mm
Tested and proven on our own race KA as well as other vehicles, we have created this new range of bushes using our Black 95A durometer material, offering a more durable and compliant bush with up to an 88% increase in stiffness over the OE bush.
It features a plated steel outer shell for better distribution of load due to the limited arm thickness and a tapered inner sleeve to assist articulation.
PFF5-901 Front Lower Radius Arm Bush
This part now features a plated outer shell and updated single-piece bush design for better distribution of load under braking and to further improve performance and durability.
PFF5-1301G Front Arm Front Bush Camb Adjustable
It’s only a subtle change with this part. By changing the way that the centre sleeve is manufactured, it has allowed us to simplify the bush design which has made for a more efficient manufacturing process, helping us to reduce build costs thus lowering the RRP.

RENAULT TWINGO III AND SMART 453 TORQUE MOUNT
This week sees us add a variant of one of our existing Lower Torque Mounts to fit Smart‘s 453 ForTwo and ForFour, and its equally mini French cousin, the Renault Twingo III.
PFF60-1422R Lower Torque Mount has been designed to replace the extremely soft OEM rubber mount, combining a CNC machined aluminium bracket, with our Red 65A and Black 95A materials specifically designed to reduce engine/trans movement.
The result is a sharpened throttle response during acceleration and gear changes and a more connected driving experience.
It’s also super easy to replace – just two bolts and it’s out with the old, in with the new, and no pressing out of any rubber!
Due to fitting to a 3cyl engine, a small increase in NVH, usually at idle should be expected when stiffening the connecting mount between the engine/transmission and subframe. The harder the material used, the greater the NVH transmitted.
This new part is also available in a variety of harder materials for those looking for a Tuned/Track/Competition option
Of course, all parts benefit from our worry-free, Lifetime Warranty for added peace of mind and assurance of quality.

BMW E30 & E36 FRONT WISHBONE BUSHES
With parts PFF5-301 and PFF5-303 being popular sellers for us for many years, we’re no stranger to BMW‘s awesome E30 and E36 3-Series models, but with their unwavering popularity, and on-track capability we’ve decided to step things up a little and offer a more extreme version for each part.
PFF5-5301 Front Wishbone Rear Bush Std
PFF5-5303 Front Wishbone Rear Bush Offset
By including a CNC-machined aluminium outer shell and reducing the amount of polyurethane material used, we have increased stiffness by a further 50% over PFF5-301 and PFF5-303, and a massive 250% over the standard OE rubber bush.
The results are incredible, with minimal deflection under steering load and braking, whilst maintaining a balance of compliance and performance.
PFF5-5301 includes a machined shell with a concentric bore for standard geometry alignment, whilst PFF5-5303 includes a machined shell with an eccentric offset bore, increasing caster by 6.5mm / 0.5deg, for better turn-in response and in-corner camber gain.

MINI R50/52/53 UPPER ENGINE MOUNT BUSH
As one of the world’s favourite hot hatches, Powerflex just can’t leave them alone and this week sees a new engine mount bush for the Gen 1 Mini R52 & R53 Cooper S & John Cooper Works models.
PFF5-124 Upper Engine Mount Bush
Connecting the engine block to the front chassis rail, the original oil-filled engine mount softens with age, losing its ability to dampen effectively thus resulting in unwanted engine movement.
By fitting our new bush between the rubber of the engine mount and its mounting bracket, it acts as a buffer by restricting engine movement during acceleration and braking, helping to improve throttle response, tighten gear changes, and reduce wheel hop.
This part is available in a variety of material durometers for different vehicle specs or requirements.
Red 65A is our softest material for diesel engines and maximum NVH absorption.
Yellow 70A is for standard road or fast road use on petrol-engined vehicles.
A small increase in NVH, usually at idle should be expected when stiffening the mounting between the engine/transmission and chassis. The harder the material used, the greater the NVH transmitted.

Renault Clio 172 & 182 Sport
This week we are adding to our suspension bush range for the awesome Renault Clio 172 & 182 Sport.
PFF60-1120 Front Strut Top Mount
Worn top mounts can lead to notchy steering, unusual noises, and wayward handling, whilst affecting the ride height by allowing the shock to sit slightly further up inside the suspension turret.
Made in our purple Road Series 80A or Black Series 95A durometer material, our top mounts restore ride-height and precision making them the perfect upgrade when changing springs and dampers.
PFR60-332 Rear Spring Seat Isolator Pads
Over time, the factory spring seat rubbers soften and lose their ability to isolate the suspension springs from the vehicle’s body. This can generate unwanted road noise through the vehicle and influence spring force.
By fitting our uprated 95A durometer isolator pads, you’re future-proofing this part of the suspension system and ensuring minimal NVH transfer between the spring and body.

Spring 2019 sees a new bushing kit for our fun city cars, the Seat Mii, Skoda Citigo, and VW Up!
The PFR85-1910 Rear Beam Mounting Bush will help stabilise rear handling.
As with many small front wheel drive cars, worn rear beam bushes can lead to abnormal tyre wear patterns and unbalanced rear handling due to promoting a rear steer effect. This gives a impression of unpredictability because you steer at the front and expect the vehicle to do one thing, but the worn bushes have their own ideas and let the beam stray changing how the car behaves while cornering. These Powerflex bushes are designed to shore up the rear beam with a controlled amount of radial twist, keeping the rear end stable whilst allowing the rear wheels to turn in, helping to boost the handling of your car.

This week its all about the Mini, specifically the lowered Mini, as new geometry correction kits are announced for R50, R52 and R53 Gen 1 Mini’s. The PFF5-131g Roll Centre Adjuster will positively impact the handling and suspension geometry. It acts to reduce body roll on lowered cars where the front wishbone has shifted causing compression in suspension.
The kit contains a 5mm spacer for tuning tweaks and to accommodate varying ride heights and wheel sizes. Also included are longer, stronger bolts to allow for the additional thickness of the ball joint assembly – the ball joint is NOT included.

This week Powerflex are adding gear cable bushes for the beautiful K-Series, Lotus Elise.
The oem rubber gear cable bushings slacken and degrade over time, allowing for play in the gear linkage and movement in each gear shift – a routine grievance amongst S1 & S2 enthusiasts.
These new bushes cost-effectively reinvigorate shift performance providing more positive feel for lasting improvement and precision.

BMW ENGINE MOUNT
Powerflex are always seeking to innovate and develop new parts to improve and enhance our portfolio of products.
Over the last few years, the increase in popularity of our engine mount inserts has made us aware of the lack of performance engine mounts suitable for both street and track use.
Listening to market feedback from BMW owners initially, the focus was to supply a replacement for the oil-filled, often soft and torn mount that wouldn’t ruin the street driving experience by compromising NVH transmission, but would improve and increase engine control.
Not an easy task, but a challenge we were happy to accept!
After many months of development, we are pleased to be releasing PFF5-4650, our ‘tuneable’ Engine Mount.

With these Renault Sport models being used more often on-track, we are now including voiding features in the front wishbone rear bushes for improved movement during articulation and steel outer shells, encapsulating each bush to increase the surface area for load, especially under braking.
We have also applied the same design features to the caster adjusting bushes for those seeking improved straight-line stability and increased in-corner negative camber gain for optimum grip.
For the Megane:
